Historical Context

The LC 475 put a full 25 MHz 68040 into the affordable LC chassis — the same processor as the Quadra 605, in the same small case, at an education-focused price. It was Apple's most capable low-cost desktop of 1993 and became the standard computer in many schools well into the mid-1990s. A significant machine for anyone who learned computing in that era.

The Story

Recapped LC 475, PRAM battery removed - needs PRAM battery to boot with video. Or you can do a quick power-off, power-on after the boot chime to get video without PRAM battery. Floppy untested. Transferred LC 475 insides to a lower case from the Performa 405 because the case, power supply, and floppy were in much better shape.
