Macintosh SE

Refurbish Work - Arthur

Circa 1987Fully Operational

Historical Context

The SE added two things the original compact Mac desperately needed: an expansion slot and a fan. The fan meant you could run it all day without the case reaching dangerous temperatures. The PDS expansion slot meant you could add an accelerator, a second CPU, or a hard disk controller. These small additions opened the compact Mac to serious professional use for the first time.
